Is XBOX Live really that LIVE???
Like everyone else who has xbox-live and had consistent issues in the last several weeks, especially with matchmaking, and just login in, I am also sick of it.
I guess people are taking it to the next level, with law suits and stuff(which I think is a bit extreme)
But, I just wanted to capture how "live" it is really.
So what I decided to do was use xbox live/support page status update, have a automated script that will check every 10 minutes, for each day and generate graphs daily.
Blue tickers are when everything "up and running", while red tickers are for any sort
of issues.
These graphs are really handy on giving the idea of the health, and the big picture
of how "live" xbox is.
I also made these statistical images available to the public. Feel free to use them, just
mention that you got them from me.
For current day's image(which gets update eveyr 10 minutes) you just need to point to:
http://www.acddv.com/xlive/today.PNG
(so you can point to TODAY, and it will always get updated)
TODAY:
For previous dates, you can point to for example:

Once this thing runs for a month, I will also generate monthly statistics.
Feel free to drop in any suggestions.

Nice idea. I don't even have an Xbox, but this should still be interesting to see. However, more details of the issues would be nice to include on the graph.

good idea!
how about taking the averages from each day, and creating weekly/fortnightly/monthly charts?

thats a great idea there, is there any way that you can add a label to your graphs, say every hour, so it is easier to tell what you are looking at?

Awesome idea! I have never been more frustrated in my life. I had Call of Duty 4 the day it came out and never had problems but after the holidays was ludicrous(not the rapper):)

i agree. it's hard to understand what these graphs really mean if they don't display the corresponding time.

Hey, I made a little image in photoshop that you can simply put above the today.png image to show people what times the graph corresponds to. After making the timetable thing and comparing today.png to it, I saw the graph was in EST so I added that ("EST") in the image. You can get it here:
